Community Food Distribution Hub

By Choices for Youth team St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador
Zero Hunger Partnership for the Goal

This was a coordinated effort by several community agencies, businesses, and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary to deliver a School Lunch Association donation of $300,000 worth of food to the St. John’s Farmers’ Market for distribution to organizations serving youth and vulnerable populations. This project addressed immediate and heightened food insecurity; finding a new way to deliver food to youth and vulnerable populations while schools were closed due to COVID-19.
