Kitselas Geothermal (KGI)’s mission is to harness the geothermal energy located under the traditional territory of Kitselas First Nations to provide the Nation and the local/regional Terrace and Kitimat-Stikine communities with social, economic, and environmental benefits including economic self-determination, training opportunities, jobs, food security via greenhouses, and clean air. ‘Fuel for Reconciliation’, the first geothermal energy project of its kind in Canada, near Terrace, BC, is their latest project that is designed to serve local businesses with environmentally-friendly, renewable, and low-cost energy.
