Green Dime

Green Dime is a new company in the works by a team of 4th year students at Western University, with plans to be a certified B-corp and launch by 2021. The project uses an online marketplace to grow the renewable energy industry in sub-Saharan Africa by linking two driving forces: local engineering, procurement and construction companies and eco-conscious Canadians. Crowd funders will be putting their money in the most impactful stage of the renewable energy value chain and will receive a financial, social and environmental return on their dollar in the form of a triple bottom line. By allowing Canadians to grow their wealth and invest in clean energy, they no longer have to choose between donating and investing.
